I have been so excited to do another one of these "Writer's Workshops" from MamaKat, who has such a fun, addicting (aren't they all) blog.... So, we have been given a few prompts o pick from and run with, so here's mine:
10 Things Worth Saving (but I'm gonna write about all of them):
1. My Soul --- I really want to see my mom again one day and truly believe this is the way to do it
2. The Earth --- I want my children to have a good place to live as they grow up
3. The Country ---Please get somebody in the government that is going to do something about this mess!!
4. Letters/Cards ---I love to go back and look at old stuff and read what people have written (some of my fondest “tangible” memories of my mom are from cards)
5. Pictures ---Who doesn’t love pictures
6. Old Magazines/Newspapers --- I guess I’m a pretty nostalgic person….It’s fun to me!!
7. GAS --- It’s ridiculous now-a-days
8. Those “pre-kid” jeans --- Come on…you know you always wish you could go back to those jeans. And keeping them gives me the motivation
9. Leftovers --- It’s always better the next day
10. THE DATE --- Joe and I will get married eventually!!!!
If you want to join in the fun......go check out her blog, Mama's Losin It.

I know, right? I'm sorry I couldn't finish the story that way for you guys! It would have made for a nice ending, but I'm pretty sure we're both where we're supposed to be. I love all of your "savings"! I'm all about nostalgia too(clearly! you saw my box of goods!) I especially liked your #10- so cute!
Oh, and i also think it's so great that you guys had a little girl after all of those boys! What a little blessing :) (I love little boys, but it's just nice that you got yourself a girl!)
great list. I like it. I believe in saving the skinny jeans too even if they will never fit again but there is always hope.
Yes! Let's save gas! #10 made me smile too- save the date- that's so great that you found a good guy, happy for ya! :)
I agree fully with the government and our country comment you made. It seems like they never have our best interests in mind, nor do they have a plan for the long-run ... it's always short-term fixes, and who cares what happens later ... ah, so frustrating.
Great "saves"! The old letters and cards...so glad you have some sweet rememberies of your mama. =)
Great list!

Great list! I finally through away my skinny jeans. But I did keep the Daisy Duke's that helped land my husband. lol Oh, those were the days.
Really great list. I LOVE the pre-baby jeans. I've always kept a pair around even if I'd never wear them again just to prove they fit. I've finally thrown all pre baby jeans out though......it was a HAPPY day when they were too big!
Great list! Yes I agree lets save gas or atleast gas prices how about we go back 6 years gas was pretty cheap then ... atleast where we lived.
Excellent list. Very thoughtful and well-expressed. Our first three match. Hey, and good luck with #10.
We did have some common picks on our lists!! Nice site, good looking family and I love the pictures (especially "Spagetti face")!!
What a great list! I wanna save all those things too..
Great list!!!
I plan to steal the idea if you dont mind!!!
I hope someone can do something about our country because we are way beyond "by the people for the people". It is more than worth saving, if we can only figure out how.
Saving the date - awesome! I enjoyed reading through your list today!
Such a thoughtful list!
I had to comment on the pre-baby jeans. If I would have kept mine from 13 years ago and was able to put them on I'm sure I would have been caught by the fashion police for wearing high waisted mom jeans! :)
I'm glad I found your blog and thanks for leaving a comment on mine!
Great list. I'm saving my skinny jeans too. Someday...
I have Teen Magazines from 1996 and I have every card that anyone has ever sent me stashed away in various places. Oh, and I LOVE Leftovers! Great post!
We do seem to have similar lists, huh? I also kept a lot of things from my dad that I will never let go of. It makes me feel like I still have that part of him with me.
Hugs...Summer
MUST save the pre kid jeans!!! lol
The Earth!! Good one. And so true!
