Writer's Workshop -- TAG, I'm it!!!

It’s that time of the week....….. Good Morning Mrs. MamaKat…..yes, I did miss doing my Writer’s Workshop last week because of Thanksgiving…. And yes, I am ready for the challenge today!!! Like always, she has some good choices for writing prompts….I’d like to take the easy way out and discuss the chaos that my dog has caused this week if you've been reading this past week, then you already know); but, I think I’m going to take the really easy way out (because of all of that chaos and stress from that dog) and accept her TAG!!

This is the 6th picture in my 6th folder on my computer…. I wonder if anyone knows who this is……………………….? Simon LeBon, from Duran Duran. A few months ago, I went to see them in concert with a few friends and boy did we have a blast…. Come on, you know you love some “Reflex”.

This next picture is the 6th picture in the 6th folder on my Photo Bucket account….My CJ, my big boy!! For real, look at him, almost 13—t-h-i-r-t-e-e-n. He is almost as tall as me, his face is starting to look “man-like” and the voice…well, yes, it is cracking and deepening!! He wanted me to take this picture after he had just gotten his hair buzzed. And of course, we had to take the picture without his glasses on. He really, really wants to try out contacts, as he is at that age where he doesn’t think his glasses are “cool” (in my eyes he is ALWAYS cool). It's funny because everytime I look at him now, I am amazed at how "grown-up" he looks and acts (except of course that he is still a super picky eater).

Gosh, they grow up fast, don't they? You're lucky to have snapped a photo at that concert. I haven't gone to any since the advent of the camera in cellphones. Darn, because the last concert I went to was Aerosmith.

Visiting from MamaKat's writing workshop links. Simon LeBon...takes me back! They don't grow out of being picky eaters?????!!!! I thought that was my only hope! Cute kid...looks cool to me but I'm probably the uncoolest person on the earth so that probably won't mean much!

It's a tough day for Moms when there's no trace of the little boy in the photos. Bittersweet. This is a photo you'll treasure for a long time to come. Thanks for sharing.

Thank goodness my kids will eat anything. I was a very picky eater when I was little but not anymore. Still don't do cooked green veggies though. YUK

They do grow up fast! Love the concert shot, I haven't tried to take a picture at a concert yet, I'll have to give it a try.

Your boy is very handsome. You are going to have lots of girls calling your house, if you don't already!

You know - when I was growing up, the Duran Duran song, "Hungry Like the Wolf" was way popular. I had a crappy little radio, and I swore that when he sang, "I'm on a huntdown after you," he was actually saying "I'm on a huntdown Master Q." I know it made no sense, but for some reason I thought he was saying that.

I wanted to do this prompt but did the high school thing cause it seemed funner to get to show embarising pics of my friends and hubs.

I may save this idea for another rainy day.

Duran Duran. Oh my. My college roommate was in love with them. I wasn't :). Don't tell anyone, but I went to see Bon Jovi not too long ago (they're my secret pleasure ;)

We saw Duran Duran perform and a big charity concert several years ago. Brought the 80's flooding home!

I can relate to the kids growing up. My oldest just turned nine, and I suddenly realized there are lots of fun getting older things for girls too that I will have to deal with soon. Thanks for stopping by.

I imagine it's really weird to see your child go from boy to almost man. Bittersweet!

Long live Duran Duran! We're doing a Duran Duran decorated Christmas tree at work this year as a joke because our boss's wife used to date one of them years ago and he can't stand them because of it.
