Photo Story Friday: Yummy in My Tummy!!

It’s Friday…… We have a busy, busy weekend ahead of us, with lots of activities planned: sleeping-in (and by that I mean laying around in bed with my pajamas on as long as I feel like),T-ball, college football, area rug buying, new kitchen knife set buying (PLEASE---any good ideas. I want sharp, sturdy & durable…I know that won’t come cheap), laundry, air show & NFL football. Whew, that wore me out just writing that!! And you know what else is so good about Friday: PhotoStory Friday… you all know that it’s one of my favorite weekly posts…..because you all know how proud I am of my family and how I love to gush, gush, gush!!! Head on over and check out some other Photo Stories!!

Can you guess what I baked last night???? I got home and realized that I had a bunch of very ripe bananas and decided instead of throwing them away (because we all know that I do not eat bananas that have even the slightest brown on them), I would bake with them.
So, I got all my supplies together:
Mashed the bananas:
I had my "helpers" add the ingredients:
Angie had to help too (yes, she is shirtless....my "girl" has to walk around shirtless like her brothers):
I got everything mixed together:
Mixture in the pans and in the oven:
The finished product.... two loaves of Banana Nut Bread-- one of my favorites (oops, I did have to cut off a small slice to "test" it)!! :)
I will have you know that between me and two of my children, we finished off that smaller loaf... and it was yummy!!!

Banana bread just makes the house smell so good. Looks like all your helpers did a great job. :)

I love banana bread. I have made six loaves over the past few weeks (my kids have been uninterested in our bananas lately).

It is so comforting -- especially hot from the oven with tons of real butter on top!

Okay, that is just RUDE. Now I'm desperate for banana bread and whenever I make it it ends up tasting like glue...who can I pay to make it for me???

I love that you documented the yum!

Mmm, I love banana bread!

Knife question....I have several Henckel knives and I really like them. But I have found that you really don't need a bunch of knives. I have a 7" Calphalon Santoku knife that I use all of the time. The other two I use are my paring knife and bread knife. To me those are the three most haves.

The wildfires we had five years ago came within 2 miles of our house. Super scary!

Look delicious. I love banana bread.

I don't eat brown bananas either - I like them slightly green.

I've really just started. Kameron's is the most complete I have ever done. The next two I have lined up will be a little more complete - then I will have a better idea of what it really entails. If you want to email me (check out my profile) we can chat a little more about it. I would love to do yours.

Thanks for the compliment on the header pic. I want to design a new header but I don't want to take that pic down...I'm torn

And my bread is half gone...I'm the only one eating it :)

Yummy...what a great way to use those bananas. I don't eat them if have any brown either!
Laughing at your shirtless girl...she'd fit right in with my three. They rarely have all their clothes on when we are inside these days!
