It's Only Wednesday............

Gosh, for whatever reason, this week seems to be dragging on.... Maybe it's because I miss Joe and am getting kind of lonely. Maybe it's because most of the people in the office are gone now too (yes, all the guys are lobster diving in Key West). I guess I just don't do well with quiet. However crazy that may sound, I just do better and am more comfortable when things are going on around me. Even in school I remember that I had to have the radio or TV on in order to "concentrate" and get homework/papers done.

Anyway, last night Gamps and my friend Carol came over and we all went out to dinner. Then Gamps stayed and had a sleepover with us. Angie had such a good time as Gamps played "mom and dad" (yes, he even carried a purse around...even though he was the dad) and other girlie games with her. After she went to bed he even stayed up and watched a Lifetime movie with movie.... as cheesy as it was!!! Thanks Dad!!!

Family Day!!

What a day....busy, fun-filled, family day!!! After we picked up Gamps (my dad), we went to Papoo's house for lunch and visiting (I try to visit him as much as possible; as his health is declining and I want to make the most of our time).

After we left there, we went back to Gamps & Grama's.... where Angie & Gamps had a great time swimming before dinner.... this is how it went:

Over and over and over again...... Gamps is a trooper! I think Angie wore him out more than herself!!

Beach Day!!!!!

Today the girls (Me, Angie, Maria & Orchid) had a beach trip!!!! Last week when Joe & I took Angie to the beach she wouldn't even go close to the water because she was afraid----- today, I couldn't get her out.....she was splashing around, swimming, playing, even putting her head under!! I love to watch her experience new things like that.....what a joy!!! And oh how I wish my mom could enjoy these things too (although I guess she is enjoying from above!!!)

OUCH!!!!!

After feeling pretty good yesterday afternoon/evening (post root canal), I woke up this morning with the worst mouth/jaw pain. I could hardly open my mouth; even to talk hurt me (which probably made Joe happy since I am a "talker"). But, after some Advil and one pain pill, I am good to go!! Sorry, Joe--- I am in full talking form again!!!

I Survived!!!!

After 2 hours in the dentist chair, and now a sore mouth & jaw, I made it through the dreaded root canal!!!
It's a rainy evening tonight..... I love the rain when I can put my pajamas on, curl up on the couch (or bed), get under the covers, watch TV and veg out........

Root Canal....yuck!!!

I have the dreaded dentist appointment this afternoon (does anybody really like to go to the dentist?), and have to get a root canal!! Yuck, I am a bit unnerved by it all..... but, I will suck it up and just do it.....Although, I will admit I've been trying to conjure up a good "reason" to not be able to go (i know, that's what got me in this position in the first place).
Anyway, last night we took Joe's grama out to dinner, and for whatever reason Angie didn't want to go to Red "Lobster"; so we ate dinner at Red "Chicken" (ever been there?).

Wish me luck..... I will let you know how it goes. Oh, and I need to download some pictures of Angie's newest haircut. Although I think the lady cut it too short (right below her chin), it still looks cute and she eats up all the ooh's and aah's.

2 more weeks until I see my boys...... counting down the days (like Joseph!!!)

My First Time!!!!!

Somehow I got into reading other people's blogs; reading about their lives, their struggles, happy/sad/mad times, laughing at funny things their kids do and crying at the sad stories. It has become almost therapeutic; I guess so I don't feel like "I'm the only one". Anyway, after talking to Joe about this he suggested I make my own...which I had already been considering, but just needed a little nudge to actually do it. So, here I am........ let's have fun with this!!!!
